Government Scholarship

Students can avail the below online scholarships if they meet the required eligibility criteria. Kindly go through the below website for more information. The List is not inclusive.

  • Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child
  • Girl students without having any brother or the girl student who are twin daughters/ fraternal daughter may also apply for scholarship under the aforesaid scheme. In a family if one son and one daughter is available then girl child will not be considered for scholarship under the scheme.
  • Girl students up to the age of 30 years at the time of admission in PG courses are eligible.
  • The scheme is applicable to such single girl child who has taken admission in regular, fulltime first year Master’s Degree course in any designated university or a post graduate college. This scholarship is available to PG-I year student only.
  • Admission to PG Course in Distance education mode is not covered under the scheme.

  • Merit Cum Means Scholarship For Professional And Technical Course
  • Must belong to Minority communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain and Parsis/Zoroastrians)
  • Must be pursuing a technical or professional course at undergraduate or postgraduate level from a recognised institution
  • Must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination
  • Must belong to the family where the annual income is not more than INR 2.50 lakh from all the sources
  • Must get admission on the basis of the competitive entrance examination or must have scored at least 50% in class 12 or graduation (in case of direct admission)

  • Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

 

  • Applicants must belong to a minority community as notified by the Government of India. These include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) and Jains.
  • The candidates must be studying in class 11 or above. Thus, the students studying in class 11,12, graduate, postgraduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or PhD are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • Students applying for this MOMA scholarship should have scored a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination.
  • The annual family income of the candidate’s parents/guardian should not exceed INR 2 lakh. This annual income comprises of total income from all the sources.

  • SC/ST/OEC/OBC SCHOLARSHIPS

 

  • The applicant should be a domicile of Kerala state.
  • Students studying in the post-matriculation level of study from any recognized college/ board are eligible to apply.
  • The applicants should not have an attendance of less than 75% at the end of each month.
  • The candidate should have taken admission under the merit and reservation quota.
  • Students belonging to SC/ OBC/ Other Eligible community [OEC] and Other socially/ economically backward communities are eligible to apply.
  • The candidates belonging to SC and OEC do not have any annual family income limitations.
  • The annual family income of OBC students should not exceed INR 1,00,000 for pursuing +2, Degree, Postgraduation and Professional courses.
  • The annual family income of other students should not exceed INR 1,00,000 for pursuing +2, Degree, Postgraduation and Professional courses.
  • The candidates can undertake Degree, Diploma, Doctoral, Higher secondary, Polytechnic, Postgraduate, Professional and VHSE courses.

  • Umbrella Scheme For Education Of St Students

 

  • This scheme is available for all Indian citizens.
  • Only ST students with an annual family income less than ₹ 2,50,000/- per annum are eligible.
  • Under Post Matric, candidates studying in class 11 to postgraduate courses will be eligible to apply.

  • PG Scholarship For University Rank Holders
  • Be below 30 years of age.
  • Be studying in a post-graduation course from any affiliated university (central/state) or deemed universities/ private universities / 25 autonomous colleges / non-affiliated colleges
  • Be a rank holder (Ist or IInd) in the previous graduation exam. 
  • Have completed graduation in one of the following disciplines: Life sciences, physical sciences, chemical sciences, earth sciences, mathematical sciences, social sciences, commerce or languages
  • Have scored a minimum of 60% of marks in graduation.

  • Central Sector Scheme For University Students
  • Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent and pursuing regular courses (not correspondence or distance mode) in Colleges/Institutions recognized by All India Council of Technical Education, UGC Act, 1956, Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India and respective regulatory authorities and not availing benefit of any other scholarship scheme including State run scholarship schemes/Fee waiver and -2- reimbursement scheme are eligible under the scheme. Students pursuing Diploma courses are not eligible under the scheme.

  • Paloli Mohammed Kutty Scholarship
  • Girl students of Muslim community and a native of Kerala, studying for the first year of Graduation or Higher courses in Govt./ Aided Institution. Student who got admission to Self-financing colleges from merit seat are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • She should have scored 50% or above in the qualifying Examination and the family annual income should not exceed 2.5 Lakhs.

  • C.H Mohammed Scholarship
  • Only girls (Muslim, Latin, converted Christian) are eligible
  • Should be a student in Govt./Aided institution or should have secured admission under Govt. quota in unaided colleges
  • Income limit Rs.4.5 lakhs. The amount is being credited to the SB a/c of the applicant.

INSTITUTIONAL

 International students

Eligible meritorious international student from under developed countries shall be considered for partial tuition fee waiver/full tuition waiver as per the eligibility criterion and Institutional guidelines on financial support. However, the award of the tuition waiver and/or financial support considerations at the discretion of the Management Council.

Merit scholarships

Rajagiri Management has decided to introduce a reward system for students showing a high level of Merit during their academic program at Rajagiri. This reward system is in addition to the awards conferred during Samavartanam (Graduation Day) every year. It is aimed at bringing in an academic rigor among students and keep them focused on their academic track. For Merit Scholarships (Rajagiri Merit Scholarship), Exam Department will provide the data of the students and the students are awarded the cash prizes from each batch for each course across the disciplines.

This consists of the Scholarships that will be given to students who are overall semester toppers of their batch and subject toppers in their class. The batch toppers of every class at senior and junior level during an academic year will be given a cash incentive and a certificate. The students who have achieved the highest score for each subject at senior and junior level in their respective semesters will be presented with a certificate and a cash incentive. The last semester of every programme will be excluded from these Scholarships.

Awards instituted by alumni members/ batches

Awards are instituted by the alumni members of the college to the students of UG & PG classes on a merit-cum-means basis. The awards are instituted in different disciplines by individual alumni members or batches in memory of teachers/batch mates. Awards are provided for best performances in different categories in different departments such as best project, field work etc instituted by alumni members and other well-wishers.

College also provide the academic scholarships for those students who excel in UGC NET exams as well as other competitive exams during their course of study.
