Dept. of Personnel Management
The Master of Arts in Human Resource Management - M.A. (HRM) program in Rajagiri College of Social Sciences began as a specialization of the Master of Social Work (MSW) program in 1961. The program became independent and christened as Master of Arts in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations – M.A. (PM & IR) in 1983 when the College became part of Mahatma Gandhi University. The program has a rich legacy and has played a pioneering role in the growth of Rajagiri College as an institution of excellence and reputation. The program got renamed MHRM in 2001. The department has since contributed by providing the industry and academia with enough stalwarts to claim themselves as the best non-MBA program for launching into the Human Resource Management profession. The program name changed to M.A. (HRM) in 2019 following a comprehensive revision in the syllabus. The department also offers a PhD program for those who wish to advance the boundaries of research in the field of Human Resource Management.
