The rising demand of data scientists, data analysts and statisticians across the globe, has motivated RCSS to commence a two year Masters’ Programme(MSc) in Statistics with Data Science. Affiliated to MG University, Kottayam, Kerala, India, the programme aims at preparing the statisticians with the ability to solve problems on a global perspective in the fields of social sciences, economics, finance etc. The course is spread across four semesters which starts with a review on the prime concepts of Statistics and moves on to a comprehensive analysis and usage of tools and techniques. The final semester project aims at equipping the students to be industry ready with experience in advanced methodologies and hands-on experience in real world problems. Along with the conventional statistical techniques this course also fosters the technical growth of statisticians using cutting edge programming tools and software packages. Data Mining, Machine Learning and Data Visualization form the strength of the programme along with the divergences in the course electives which will assist the students in focussing on their area of interest.

That period of two years that I have spent at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery is laced with sweet memories and wonderful moments which I could always cherish forever. The guidance that I have received from here has shown me the right direction. I was able to learn worthy lessons in programming from the faculties over here. I really owe much to faculties and my friends. Looking back, the time at Rajagiri is something I would love to re-live.
