Department of Business Administration (School of Management) of RCSS started its two-year full-time MBA programme at Hill Campus, Kalamassery in the year 1995 with an intake of 30 students, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala for giving an impetus to professional management education in Kerala. The MBA programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The department was shifted to the sprawling and picturesque Valley Campus in Kakkanad, Kochi in 2000. Taking a cue from the surge in demand for quality management professionals,the student intake has increased to 120 in the year 2004. The MBA programme at RCSS has been accredited by ACBSP, which is the world's largest international accreditation council and a leading specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. This endorses the value of the deliverables by the department.
Objectives of the Department
To facilitate the development of individuals into management professionals and entrepreneurs by enabling them to acquire the required technical, human and conceptual skills.
To provide consultancy and training to organizations to effectively realize their vision.
To significantly contribute to the advancement of management know-how by research, training and effective dissemination.
To train the future decision makers of society who would be able to strike the right balance between development needs and social justice.

Business schools have been using cases to create a real-life environment but active participation by all cannot be ensured even in case discussions. Simulation on the other hand does not permit passive participants. Any simulation will easily persuade the student to apply all his abilities to solve the problem at hand and thus gives him a real-life experience. It is thus an effective tool set in a highly user-friendly environment.
