Mr. Danishwar Rasool Dar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous), Cochin, Kerala, India. He is a dedicated, passionate and results-driven Psychiatric Social Work professional, academician, and researcher with over five years of clinical engagement in the mental health field. He has worked in a supervisory capacity for three years and mentored mental health practitioners in a premier psychiatric hospital (LGBRIMH) at Tezpur, with expertise in family therapy, behavioural and emotional problems in adolescents, geriatric mental health and emerging adult mental health. Mr. Dar has completed his MSW in Social Work from the University of Kashmir, M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work from the Central University of Karnataka (Under MOU with DIMHANS Dharward), and submitted his PhD in Psychiatric Social Work from LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health, Tezpur, Assam, affiliated with Gauhati University. Mr. Dar brings multidisciplinary skills and experience. He has authored more than 32 research publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals published by Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis (Routledge), and Medknow indexed in Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, and UGC-CARE. He has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences and is actively engaged in academic research and student mentorship, focusing on family and social relationships in the prevention and promotion of mental health among emerging adults. He collaborates and follows emerging research and innovations to deepen and enhance social work knowledge
