Industry & Alumni Interaction

Vikas Samvad

Development organizations, including NGOs and social enterprises, are essential in social work, providing vast opportunities for practice and employment. Recognizing the importance of young professionals systematically engaging with this sector, we introduced Vikas Samvad in 2021. This initiative has since organized 40 interactive sessions, incorporating presentations and scholarly discussions with national and international NGO leaders. These sessions aim to build strong networks and partnerships with NGOs, allowing students to actively explore and reflect on current issues, trends, and challenges in the field. This hands-on exposure significantly enhances their learning and professional development. This has supported students to network with organisations and engage with systems in their research, fieldwork and placements.

Manan Samvad

Manan Samvad is an interactive platform aimed at fostering meaningful connections between current students and the alumni of Rajagiri College, Department of Social Work. Initiated to promote knowledge sharing, Manan Samvad allows students to engage with alumni who offer valuable insights from their professional journeys, experiences, and expertise. These interactions provide students with a deeper understanding of real-world applications of social work, broaden their career perspectives, and offer guidance for navigating the field. Since its inception, Manan Samvad has been vital in strengthening the alumni network and enriching students' learning by bridging academic knowledge with practical experiences.
