Social Work strongly emphasises cultural competence and multicultural practices, reflecting its commitment to addressing global diversity. At Rajagiri, internationalisation has been integral to its academic and institutional framework for over 25 years. The Department of Social Work has established active MoUs with leading universities worldwide, facilitating vibrant student-faculty exchanges, semester-abroad programs, international teaching weeks, summer schools, and global visits. These initiatives are complemented by collaborative research, cross-cultural discussions, and participation in international conferences, fostering a truly global learning environment. Rajagiri also is the only consortium member from India in International Summer University in Social Work (ISUSW) which is a consortium of 9 International Universities. Rajagiri is also a member of The International Consortium for the Social Development (ICSD), Asian and Pacific Association for Social Work Education (APASWE) and International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW). Our students from PG and UG programmes regularly do short term study programmes in our Partner Universities with a duration ranging from 1 month to 6 months including semester abroad programmes. Rajagiri hosts International students for short term / semester in India programmes as well as in our regular programmes as full-time students which is also supported by the Study in India (SII) Programme, Govt of India. The Social Work Programmes offered by Rajagiri also have accelerated enrollment arrangements with world class International Universities across the globe.
