Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Paul is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous), Cochin, Kerala, India. He is a dedicated mental health professional, academician, and researcher with expertise in psychiatric social work, adolescent mental health, substance use, addiction medicine, and disability studies. Dr. Paul completed his M.Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work from the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh, and earned his Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work from LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health, Tezpur, Assam, affiliated with Gauhati University. He has authored more than 82 research publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals published by Elsevier, Springer, SAGE, Taylor & Francis (Routledge), and Medknow indexed in Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, Medline, and UGC-CARE. He has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences and is actively engaged in academic research, student mentorship, and collaborative projects focusing on substance use prevention and mental health promotion.
