Anu Mohan is a researcher, and an educator specializing in ageing, migration, public health, and long-term care systems. She has submitted her PhD from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) where her research focused on alternative care arrangements for older adults in migrant households in Kerala. She is the first rank holder in Master of Social Work programme at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences and was conferred the Roy and Chacko Memorial Award for Best Outgoing Student. She is also a recipient of the prestigious Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Award (2019), under which she completed her field practicum at the University of South Australia, Adelaide.
She has served as Research Consultant at the N-SPRITE Center at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, contributing to projects related to suicide prevention, monitoring and evaluation, and public health research. She has published extensively in reputed international journals, and presented research papers at numerous national and international conference. With over five years of experience in training and academic consultation, she has proven expertise in delivering workshops on research methodology, evidence synthesis, data analysis and scientific writing. She has collaborated with various training institutions and served as a subject trainer for competitive examinations at both national and state levels. She has qualified the UGC-NET, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and State Eligibility Test (SET) in Social Work, and has received several academic distinctions in scholarship and research presentations. She is also the copyright holder of the Measure of Alternative Care and Support (MACS), an assessment tool designed to evaluate care and support systems among older adults. Her work continues to contribute significantly to the fields of ageing, social care, public health, and social policy.
