Department of Statistics: Placement Cell
The Department of Statistics has an active Placement Cell comprising a placement coordinator and student representatives. This cell is dedicated to facilitating placement opportunities and maintaining a robust database of prospective employers for future communications.
The Placement Cell oversees campus recruitment processes, including coordinating employer visits to the campus, enabling interaction with graduating students, and streamlining the recruitment process.
Key Activities
The Placement Cell organizes various activities annually to enhance the employability of students. Regular meetings are conducted to plan, execute, and monitor these activities, with minutes maintained for reference. Key initiatives include:
- Corporate Outreach
- Visits to companies in InfoPark and Technopark to invite them for campus recruitment.
- Skill Development Programs
- Aptitude Training: Sessions to improve problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Technical Sessions: Delivered by industry experts and in-house faculty.
- Soft Skills Workshops:
- Personality development and communication skills training.
- Special grooming programs focused on personal etiquette.
- Interview skills and group discussion training.
- Resume Preparation: Guidance for creating effective resumes.
- Career Counselling
- Talks by experts from industry and academia.
- Interactive sessions with distinguished Rajagiri alumni.
