Post graduate in Social Work with specialization in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and M. Phil in Social Work from Delhi University. Secured Ph. D in Social Work on the topic: A Study of Adoptive Families in Kerala” from Mahatma Gandhi University in the year 2011. Has undertaken two UGC Minor Research Projects: (i) “Adoptive Families in Kerala” and (ii) “Relevance of Non Formal Preschool Education Imparted through ICDS Projects with special reference to Ernakulam District”. Engaged in teaching in the Department of Social Work since 1999 and has 2 years’ of field experience as social worker in child sponsorship project. Areas of interest include: Medical & Psychiatric Social Work, Mental Health, Geriatric Social Work, Social Group Work & Group Dynamics, Child Adoption and Community Health.
