Jacob Alias serves as an Assistant Professor of English in the Department of Languages at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences. His doctoral thesis entitled, ‘Diasporic Angst for Home: Psycho-Existential Complexities of the Uprooted in Affirming Identity in the Select Novels of the Select Authors of Jewish Diaspora’ explores the portrayal of man’s attempts for preservation of a romantic temperament, amidst his struggles in the surrealistic world of pain, death and metaphysical anguish. He has 3 years of teaching experience in reputed aided colleges affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University.
