CSTAR - Computer Students Association of Rajagiri
The Computer Students Association of Rajagiri (CSTAR) stands as the premier student body of the Department of Computer Science, uniting students across MCA, M.Sc. Computer Science (Data Analytics), and Undergraduate programs. Coordinated by dedicated Student Coordinators, CSTAR serves as a dynamic hub for technical excellence. Every Tuesday afternoon, the campus transforms into a collaborative environment where members gather to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world professional application.
For the post-graduate wing, comprising MCA and M.Sc. (Data Analytics) students, CSTAR focuses heavily on enhancing professional competency and industry readiness. These sessions involve a rigorous mix of seminars, workshops, and interaction programs featuring experts from both industry and academia. Beyond technical skill-building, the association orchestrates in-house quiz competitions and cultural events, while actively facilitating student participation in prestigious inter-collegiate IT fests. This multifaceted approach ensures that PG students graduate not just with a degree, but with a robust professional network and a sharpened competitive edge.
At the undergraduate level, CSTAR acts as a launchpad for exploring emerging technologies through five specialized technical clubs: Arts & UI/UX, Game Development, Robotics, AI/ML, and Cyber Security. Meeting every Tuesday under the guidance of faculty and club leaders, these groups provide a hands-on space for students to master specific tools—from game engines and robotics hardware to complex AI frameworks. By fostering this collaborative environment, the undergraduate wing empowers students to transition from theoretical learners to technical creators and future-ready leaders.
Through these five clubs, CSTAR ensures that undergraduate students receive continuous exposure to emerging technologies, practical skill development, collaborative learning, and leadership opportunities.
