Participatory rural appraisal (PRA) is a methodology to enhance the development agent’s understanding of the rural reality for the planning and development of projects and the feeling of a greater degree of ownership and responsibility in the rural people for better results and social acceptance of the development programme. Social work students are provided with an opportunity to learn various aspects of the PRA methodology.
