She completed her postgraduation in Commerce from Kerala University and Master’s in Business Administration in Finance from Pondicherry University. She has also secured an MPhil from Madhurai Kamaraj University. She began her teaching career at St. Xaviers College Aluva. She retired from service as the Head of the Department of Commerce, with an experience of more than 32 years. She was the former Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson for B.Com and M.Com examinations from the year 2012- 2017 at Mahatma Gandhi University. Her forte being Income Tax and Business Law, she continues to pursue her passion for teaching. She has also won the Best NSS Program Officer Award from Mahatma Gandhi University in the year 2002.
