PLACEMENT PROCESS AT THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES

The Department of Commerce and Professional Studies offers a range of courses, including B.Com with Computer Applications, B.Com Model I F&T, and B.Com Model II F&T. Upon graduation, our students specialize in various areas such as Computer Applications, CA (Chartered Accountancy), CMA (Cost and Management Accountancy), and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), presenting them with numerous career options. Among these possibilities are Accounting and Auditing, Financial Management, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Information Technology Finance, Entrepreneurship, Academics and Teaching, Corporate Finance, and Public Accounting. Recognizing the significant demand in the job market, both the Placement Department and Faculty Members are dedicated to securing excellent placement opportunities for our students, ensuring a bright future for them.

Our Placement Process is carefully designed as follows:

Registration:

Students looking for placements are provided with a registration form by the Placement Department. Additionally, the department offers training programs to support other students in their higher studies and career advancement.

Selection of Eligible Candidates:

Companies specify criteria for their selection process, based on which we filter the student database and create an eligible student list. This list is then forwarded to the respective companies for their selection process and subsequent placements.

Placement Activities:

To streamline the placement process, the Department of Commerce has a dedicated placement coordinator and two student representatives from each final year batch. Together with the Placement Department of the college, they maintain a comprehensive database of prospective employers, enabling seamless placement opportunities and future communications. Moreover, we actively manage campus recruitments and facilitate employer visits to interact with graduating students during recruitment drives.
