Jiya Jose, Ph.D. is Scientist D at the Department of Biosciences, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous), Cochin, Kerala. She is a dynamic researcher with more than twelve years of experience in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Cell culture and Tissue engineering.  She received her Ph.D. in Marine Sciences from CSIR- National Institute of Oceanography in the year 2014. Experience in interdisciplinary collaborative research with scientists from India and abroad. Attended and organized several International and National conferences, seminars and workshops. Recipient of Senior Research Fellowship by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Dr. S. Kothari Post-Doctoral Fellowship by UGC, Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship from Stockholm University, Sweden and Research Associate Fellowship from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi India. She is also a recipient of Nava Kerala Post-Doctoral fellowship from Kerala Higher Education Council. Apart from this she received various National and International Awards. She has more than 60 publications in various high impact Journals and 3 edited books. She holds Visiting Scientist position at NRICMI- Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. Her research Interest includes Microbiology, Nano biotechnology, Antimicrobial Resistance, Probiotics, Wound Healing and Tissue Regeneration.
