Alert Mathew Joseph holds a Master's degree in Development Economics from Mahatma Gandhi University and is currently pursuing a PhD specialising in labour markets and return migration, with a strong focus on econometric modelling and quantitative methods. He is supported by a University Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and is UGC-NET qualified in Economics. He has handled courses in Managerial Economics, Business Research Methodology, Financial Management, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Econometrics at UG and PG levels. He has worked with Ernst & Young on data analytics and Power BI dashboards, and served as Field Research Lead for the state-commissioned Kerala Migration Survey (KMS 2023) under the Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation, Thiruvananthapuram. His technical proficiencies include Power BI, SPSS, MAXQDA, and econometric tools.
