We are inviting application for Research Associate/Junior Research Fellow for an Industry Academia Project at the Department of Bioscience, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous), Kalamassery, Cochin in collaboration with Adaptiva Wellness.
About the Role
The Research Associate/Junior Research Fellow - Dermatology Formulation & Clinical Research will support the design, synthesis, optimization, and validation of dermatological formulations. The role involves developing novel formulations, conducting safety and efficacy testing (in vitro and in vivo), establishing laboratory systems, drafting methodologies and SOPs, and contributing to scientific publications and regulatory documentation. This position requires strong technical expertise, analytical capabilities, laboratory management skills, and scientific communication proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulation Development and Optimization of dermatological formulations (e.g., moisturizers, sunscreens, serums, actives).
- Develop novel, stable, and clinically relevant product prototypes.
- Design and execute in vitro and in vivo studies for product Efficacy & Safety Testing
- Conducting dermatological efficacy assessments including cytotoxicity and biocompatibility studies.
- Develop experimental designs and research methodologies.
- Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain documentation aligned with GLP standards.
- Design pilot studies and scale-up strategies.
- Set up and optimize dermatology research laboratory infrastructure.
- Skill in Laboratory Setup & Management
- Data Analysis & Scientific Reporting
- Cross-Functional Collaborative skill with product, regulatory, and marketing teams.
- Support vendor and academic collaborations.
Required Qualifications
- Masters/Ph.D. in Dermatology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences Or related discipline
- 1-3+ years of experience in dermatological formulation or cosmetic R&D.
- Experience in clinical or pre-clinical dermatology research would be a plus.
