Dr. Rajiv has graduated in biochemistry from St. Joseph’s College, Cuddalore; a master's in biochemistry from Bharathidasan University; and obtained a doctorate in biochemistry from Loyola College, affiliated to the University of Madras in 2015, Chennai, India. Underwent postdoctoral research training in the area of bioorganic medicinal chemistry, food science, clinical medicine at the Federal University of Sergipe, Brazil, from 2015 to 2022. Bagged a national fellowship and research grants from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the University Grants Commission (UGC), and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) during the period of 2012-2015.  Received International Postdoctoral fellowships under the Science across the Border programme from CNPq/CAPES-Brazil for the years 2016-2021. Had a role as a visiting researcher at the Institute of Urban Agriculture (IUA), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), Chengdu, China, during 2019-2021. Listed as top 2% cited scientist in the world (Year 2022) by the Stanford University, USA. Has published 43 articles and 4 book chapters with a cumulative impact factor of 210.58. Currently, as per Elsevier-Scopus, the citations of articles attain 1435 with H-index 19.
