READORA is a flagship community outreach initiative of Re-Threads, the social responsibility forum of the Department of Management and Professional Studies, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous), Kalamassery. Organized in celebration of Reading Day, READORA seeks to nurture a love for reading while creating meaningful experiences for children through compassion, learning, and community engagement.
As part of the Re-Threads Good Cause 2026, books will be collected through campus-wide donation drives, with additional new books purchased to ensure a rich and diverse collection. These contributions will be used to establish a mini library at KRIPA – Centre for Rehabilitation and Early Intervention, creating a dedicated reading space for its special children and encouraging the joy of books for years to come.
The initiative extends beyond book donations. Student volunteers will spend quality time with the children by reading stories, reciting rhymes, engaging in interactive activities, and sharing moments of laughter and learning. Through these heartfelt interactions, READORA aims to make Reading Day a truly enriching celebration—one that promotes literacy, imagination, inclusion, and human connection.
READORA reflects the belief that every book shared, every story told, and every smile exchanged has the power to transform lives. By bringing together students, partners, and the community, Re-Threads celebrates Reading Day in its fullest sense—spreading the gift of knowledge, fostering empathy, and building brighter futures, one page at a time.
