Case Study Competition

 

The Department of Commerce and Professional Studies in association with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK, will be organizing a Business Case Study Competition on January 23, 2024 in Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous).

Who can participate?

Any students who is currently doing his/her bachelor’s degree programme from any of the recognized universities from India are eligible to participate in the case study competition.

How to register?

Any student(s) who want to register for the competition may register by filling out the Registration Form

Details of the competition

The competition takes place in two rounds.

Once the team is registered, the case details will be sent to the registered email address of the team captain.  

Round I

The registered team is expected to prepare answers to the case questions in maximum 2000 words for all the questions mentioned in the case and are required to submit the answers in MS Word format (only) to the organizers via email - casestudy@rajagiri.edu

Plagiarism check will be done for the answer script and if substantial amount of answers found to be plagiarized;

·organizers may ask the participant to revise the answers or

·it may be rejected

The participants are expected to submit the answers on or before January 17, 2024 (Wednesday).

All the registered teams of Round I are invited for the event day to our campus. All registered participants will be provided with certificate of participation. Only the selected teams will be qualified for the Round II in which the team will be asked to present their answers to the judging panel on the event day.

Round II

By January 21, 2024 -  the selected teams will receive an e-mail communication from the organizers regarding the qualification to the second round. The selected teams will be asked to do the case presentation along with the answers of the case in front of the judging panel. The judging panel will constitute expert from academia and industry. The maximum time allotted for the presentation will be 10 (ten) minutes which will be followed by Q & A (maximum of 05 minutes).

Winners

After thorough review of the presentation, the organizers will announce the winners of the competition on the event day itself. Three positions will be announced (First, Second and Third). Attractive cash prize along with appreciation certificate will be provided to the teams who reached the first three positions.

Cash prize for first position – INR 20,000/-

Cash prize for second position – INR 15,000/-

Cash prize for third position – INR 10,000/-
