The Rajagiri Basketball League (RBL), a prominent national-level basketball competition, is hosted by the Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous). Since its inception in 2017, originally known as the Fr. Moses Memorial Ever-rolling Trophy Tournament, the event has been rebranded as the RBL, breathing new life into this dynamic sport. The tournament has rapidly gained prominence, attracting some of the finest basketball teams from across India, all vying for the coveted championship title, significant prize money, and the prestigious ever-rolling trophy. Marking its sixth edition this year, RBL has established itself as a beacon of athleticism and agility, showcasing the best in basketball talent.
Unique in its format, the RBL combines the excitement of knockout rounds with the strategic depth of league play. The stakes are high with the first prize winner receiving Rs. 15,000 along with the ever-rolling trophy, and the second prize winner taking home Rs. 10,000. Adding to the excitement, the competition also honours the exceptional skills of individual players by awarding the title of ‘Best Player’ of the event. This recognition not only elevates the status of the players but also adds an extra layer of competition and prestige to the event.
